Asparagus Appetizer Recipe

Asparagus Appetizer Recipe – Two perfect foods come together with this Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus Recipe! If you love bacon-wrapped main dishes like bacon-wrapped dates or bacon-wrapped chicken tenders, you’ll enjoy bacon-wrapped asparagus as a healthy appetizer, too. I’ll show you how to make asparagus wrapped in bacon that turns out perfectly crispy every time, plus the best way to prep it for entertaining.

With other bacon asparagus recipes, I’ve noticed that it’s often the asparagus that gets soft before the bacon gets a chance to crisp. I was on a mission to avoid this one, and discovered the trick is like crispy bacon in the oven. Although roasted asparagus tastes great on its own, properly cooked bacon takes the flavor to the next level.

I prefer individually wrapped asparagus because it’s easier to eat as an appetizer and you get more bacon in every bite. But if you prefer, you can wrap 4-6 pikes at a time in a slice of bacon. (When wrapping each package, follow the same tips below.) Cooking time will be about the same.

How long you bake wrapped asparagus depends on several factors, including the thickness of the bacon, the color of the pan and rack, and the temperature of the oven. On average, it takes about 15 to 20 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, plus another two minutes under the broiler to tenderize the bacon (highly recommended!).

We recommend eating the pastry asparagus appetizer the same day. If you want to eat them on the second day, cover and store in the refrigerator. But there is still a chance that the pastry will become a little soft and moist. That’s why it’s better to reduce your consumption per day and enjoy it fresh.

Helion and I weren’t even in speaking terms. I was rude and would walk away quickly any time I saw it displayed in the produce section or served at a buffet. I am now ashamed of my past behavior and offer my sincerest apologies to this vegetable that I hated so much in my life.

I regret that I never got Mrs. Howell’s recipe, but mine is very similar. I added Boursin cheese, and for those who don’t know about Boursin, it’s a soft cheese very similar to cream cheese and comes in three flavours. I used garlic and fine herbs for the crescent-wrapped asparagus. It is also a divine addition to eggs, potatoes, soups, and vegetable dishes. For your information, this is not a sponsored post. I just love Boursin and use it a lot in my cooking.
